Should I Dress Up?
Valley Hope Church is a community gathered around the Good News that is Jesus. We seek to be pulled deeper into that Gospel without pretending that any of us are past the basics of God pursuing people. Honesty and vulnerability are our Sunday best, so we don’t worry about what you’re wearing or if church feels new or strange. We started in a bar in Black Mountain. Jesus found us in places of darkness and pain and we believe he’s still going to places like that to get more people like us. People that are hungry and thirsty for what He offers. We want to go together with Him.
What does a Sunday Morning Look Like?
Don’t worry if you’ve never come before. We try to make sure to explain everything that is going on. We will sing a mixture of old and new songs, have times of prayer together and silently, and celebrate Communion together every week.
Kids up to fifth grade will have some time to learn in classes for their age-level (you can pre-register them for Sunday School online), but we always have time to worship together as one community, from babies up to seniors. A room upstairs above the sanctuary will have the sermon on live feed and is available to parents of infants and small children needing to step out of the sanctuary.
